Inspiration Monday with two birds

It's inspiration monday time at two birds!  I had so much fun with the challenge last week I am back again.  So without further ado...this week's inspiration is from Diane Kruger:

When I first saw this picture I thought to myself, yay...I have tall boots and a brown belt so at least that's a start.  I recently bought a "grandma" skirt after being inspired by Meagan of Spunky Chateau's "grandma dress" post that ended up looking very bohemian and cool.  I figured I could hike my grandma skirt up to the correct length.  I had to hit a yardsale for a print shirt.  Here is my look using contrasting patterns:

Be sure to check out two birds to see all the different takes on the look.  I'm enjoying these challenges because they are  challenging to me.  I believe the contrasting black and navy prints also grant me entrance into Rules are Lame at I'm Clothed Much.

What I'm Wearing:
Shirt, Yard Sale, $2
Skirt, Goodwill, $3
Belt, Goodwill, $1
Boots, B&H Shoes, $26

Total Cost of Outfit:  $32

I've found several communities to be a part of since starting this blogging journey.  Never Growing Old sponsors two groups for over forty bloggers.  There is a Friday blog hop and a Monday meet and greet with five different questions to answer each week on Meet Me On Monday.

1.  Who would be your dream celebrity date?  I'm going to be predictable here and say Brad Pitt.  So shoot me.  He's gorgeous.

2.  Do you have any food restrictions?  Anything that would raise my cholesterol or my blood sugar...which is quite a few delicious items...(sad face).

3.  How much time do you take to get ready in the morning?  If I need to be out the door as I take the kids to school I can be ready in 30 minutes.  If I have the time to come back home and leisurely get ready I like to take about an hour.

4.  Sausage or bacon?  Neither...see #2 above.  But I do like soy sausage and it is surprising like the real stuff.

5.  Do you Google, Bing or Yahoo?  Google all the way!

If you've stayed with me this far...DONT' FORGET TO ENTER THRIFTY GIRL VINTAGE'S FIRST GIVEAWAY!  You can enter here.  The winner will get this e.l.f. makeup set:

I LOVE this. The two prints go SO well together! I think it's because they're very similar in color. Great way to take a celeb pic and make it your own!!!!!

It looks great! I love the pairing of the prints. I think it works b/c they aren't both floraly/plaids and the darker color is on the bottom. Excellent thrifted finds!
