The Second Time Around

I've always heard that if you were around the first time a trend came through, you had to pass on it the second time.  I suppose you are too old for it?  Who says...the Fashion Police?  I've already committed my share of "fashion crimes" so what's one more?
I was around the first time ripped jeans were in style.  I remember seeing Farrah Fawcett in a magazine ad with her bleached jeans with holes in the knees.  I really liked the look but I was too self conscious to imagine ripping holes in my jeans and wearing the look.  But I'm not so self conscious anymore.  I'm old enough now to know what I like and to not be afraid to wear it.  Bring on the red and purple!  These are also my first pair of jeggings.  People either love or hate them and after wearing them today I give them a thumbs up.
I've been looking for a pair of granny boots after seeing lots of bloggers wear them with springlike dresses and skirts.  I found these at Goodwill yesterday.

What I'm Wearing:
Cream top, Eddie Bauer Outlet, $7
Cream sweater vest, Eddie Bauer Outlet, $26
Jeggings, Goody's, $5.99
Black granny boots, Goodwill, $3
Heart charm necklace, Peebles, $7

Total Cost of Outfit:  $48.99

I love your boots and jeans. I definitely don't believe you have to pass on trends the second time. Wear what you love!
