Sunday Inspiration: Linking Up

 http://lazylisa.files.wordpress.com/2010/02/lazy-lisa-alexa-chung-blue-square1.jpg

When I was wondering what to write about for my Sunday Inspiration post I thought back over the past week and asked myself what had inspired me the most this past week.  The answer was quick in coming.  My most fun and inspiring outfit post this past week was when I joined the inspiration monday challenge over at two birds.  We were given a picture of a celebrity and we were to style the same look, post our outfits and link up at two birds on Monday.  It was lots of fun and it brought tons of traffic and comments to my site.  I can understand why because I've enjoyed checking out the other looks, too.  Alexa Chung was our first inspiration.

I ended up copying this look three times over the next week:
My first try with the look. I didn't have a polka dot skirt so I went with a polka dot top.
Switched out the polka dot top for a graphic face tee.  Switched out the tights and booties for silver accessories.

Switched out the face tee for a pink Marilyn Monroe tee.
I'm already looking forward to Monday!  Here is the next inspiration:

This is just one of the blogs I've found that I've enjoyed linking up at.  I hope to write about several more in some of my upcoming posts.  Which blog link ups have been inspiring for you?

All of your looks came out really good! I am curious about how you are going to do the next one! I would love to join in, but I might cheat and wait to see how you and some other people do it ... I don't think that I'm brave enough to mix the two patterns.

I think "cheating" is a good strategy. I thought about that for the first one but I linked mine so early in the day that was out so I just took a chance. I've had a hard enough time locating a full but shorter skirt and a ruffled blouse...had to raid my grandma's closet for the latter one! I'm going to see if what I have can be put together in a similar look today.

I really enjoyed seeing how you did this. I am thinking about trying to join in tomorrow. Do you know if you have to post it on Monday?

I love that seafoam green/blue color! What a good base of inspiration!
And, I can't wait to see how you put together that fantastic look of pink/red pattern mixing. It's wonderful and quite a lot of "wow" factor!

I'm realizing that I read too many blogs! I take little bits and pieces from lots of them and try to give credit where credit is due...though it sometimes takes me a while to try the idea. I think outfit number 2 turned out nicely.

Terri, I know what you mean. I wanted to do a post of ideas I had gotten from other blogs then I couldn't remember which blog had which idea. I've got to come up with a system!
