Day 31: Freedom!

The 30 for 30 Remix Challenge was for 30 days...and today is day 31...and that means freedom!  Today I ran into my friend, Linda, at the grocery store and she asked, "Can you wear whatever you want today"  And I said, "Yes!"

I love the red zipper detail on the back of these boots.  Okay, I might as well 'fess up.  I broke one little rule of the 30 for 30 Remix Challenge...I shopped.  After a January full of snow and cabin fever, I was ready for a little retail therapy.  I bought these boots on sale and couldn't wait for the first day of the remix was over so I could wear them!  Ah...confession is good for the soul.

All kidding aside, I'm so glad I did the remix.  I'm a reader.  I love books and I also subscribe to just about every fashion magazine out there.  I've always been guilty of thinking that reading about something is just as good as doing it.  But the knowledge you gain from reading about a topic, while a good thing in itself, is no substitution for the knowledge you gain from actually doing it.  I've seen these remixes in magazines for years and thought I understood the concept, but understanding something and living it are too very different things.  Sort of like going from two dimension to three, I suppose.  Now that I've experienced it for myself, I no longer just know...I KNOW!
