Thrifting

Thrifted Purse from Goodwill, $3
Thrifting plays a big part in my shopping habits.  I have my usual shops that I like to poke around in.  Goodwill is always a favorite and I go to local ones regularly.  If I'm in a different town for whatever reason I check their Goodwill out, too.  There are also a few local thrift stores in my area.  One of our thrift stores has donated clothing, usually older but very cheap, and lots of household items.  Another has lots of name brands but a little higher prices.  But any price at a thrift store or Goodwill beats most retail store prices.  I think it's a fun way to shop because each day is different and you never know what you're going to run up on.  And it's nice to know that you can afford whatever you find.  If you are into anything vintage, you can link your blog up at In the Hammock Vintage.  Each week a different blogger is showcased, but anyone can link to their blog and hopefully find some new readers and some new blogs to follow.  Just click on the link above for more information.  I was happy to have Thrifty Girl Vintage linked up this week and I've found some interesting new blogs to check out.

Love the ankle detail on these shoes.  The shoes, watch and earrings are the only new items I am wearing today.
What I Wore Today:
Black/white stripe top, Goodwill, $2.50
Khaki skirt, Bargains & More, $5
Black patent belt, Goodwill, $1
Red watch Walmart, $5
Red shoes, Shoe Show, $10
Red earrings, Claire's Boutique, $4
Red/white polka dot purse, Goodwill, $3

Total For Today:  $30.50

You are looking very Nautical today
Those shoes are just too cute and the bag that you thrifted is screaming for a navy monogram on it.
Since I own a monogram shop I see monograms everywhere. LOL

What a neat sporty look! My husband and I love thrift stores for the very reasons you do.

OK. I've scrolled down through many of your posts. You are an awesome blogger! I've been blogging for about 2 years (I think). It IS a great hobby. I started out mostly modeling my thrift store wardrobe. I want to get back to that on my thrifty-style-at-sixty-two blog SOON.

I'm filling in right now with other thrift store purchases MAINLY because I've gained some weight and don't want to go out and purchase a second wardrobe when I have a perfectly wonderful one in my closet!

All that to say, I am a new follower here. You are doing a fantastic job with your photos and commentary! In my opinion, you have a great sense of style and accessorizing.

I missed yesterday's post so I'm catching up today. Another great outfit and more good ideas! You just reinforced my notion that I need (must have) a khaki skirt. Still playing with the ideas of belts...
