Day 8: Primary Colors

We had snow overnight and woke up to a different world this morning.  I wonder if my sore throat has anything to do with these early morning outdoor photo shoots?  Other than being a little cold, I am happy to have made it through the first week of the remix.  So far, I have worn 20 of my 30 items.  This first week has shown me how much more fun it is to plan my outfits instead of making a mad dash to get dressed in the mornings.  Before trying the remix, I also didn't feel that I had enough of the basics to mix and match, but I am seeing that there are so many combinations that work if you just take the time to play around with what you've got.  Today, I wanted to work in some of the last ten items I hadn't worn yet and wear some accessories that I love but never use.  This is also the first time that I tried wearing a dress as a skirt.
I've had these bright yellow elbow length gloves for ages.  I love them but I never wear them.  My Cardigan has these roll-up sleeves so it was perfect for the gloves.  I've dug out my scarves, gloves and colored tights and I'm finally using everything that I have.

What I'm wearing today:
Blue Cardigan, Eddie Bauer, $5, Outlet Mall
Black/White stripe knit top, $2.50, Goodwill
Black Dress worn as a skirt, Norma Kamali, $30, Walmart.com
Red tights, $7, Target
Yellow scarf, Claire's, $10
Yellow gloves, $2, local shop that is closed now
Black patent Uggs, $79 (a splurge this fall), B&H Shoes

DEBBIE! This is the prettiest thing I've ever seen you wear; it's my favorite - primary colors! :D
